Well meaning Nigerians have continued to sue for one united nation even as Muslims celebrates Edi-El-Kabir
Speaking with our Correspondent in Lagos , fomer Vice President of Nigeria, Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe (Rtd), prayed God to make life more tolerable for Nigerians as well as make peace to reign supreme in our nation .
Speaking also, a legal luminary, Barrister Paul Ananaba urged Nigerians to pray and work towards the unity of the country.
He said Nigeria needs peace and unity for it to remain as an entity, regretting that blood shedding has become the order of the day the country hence it cannot do us any good.
Barrister Ananaba appealed to all to embrace God, embibe the teachings and life of fore leaders of this nation, who despite their religious leanings, preached peace and tolerance, stressing that such will forster peace, unity and progress instead of cisis and killings.
Adding his voice, a former Police chieftain, Chief Ebere Ubani enjoined all to keep calm with faith that things will get better while urging political leaders to remember the less privileged amongst us.
Chief Ubani advised them to give proper, honest and truthful information to Mr. President on the true situation in the country and urged the Governors to visit Local Government Areas in their states so as to get first hand information of their situations.
He urged them to use the significance of the Muslim celebration which refers to Abraham as the Father of faith when he wanted to sacrifice his son Isaac as directed by God, and God seeing his faith and love for Him, provided a lamb for the sacrifice in place of Isaac and show sacrificial love one to another.
Chief Ubani who is also a business man wondered how many political leaders can sacrifice their pleasure in the interest of Nigerians, stressing that Nigerians are suffering a lot coupled with no good roads, no water , electricity , security of lives and property.
Meanwhile, the Abia State Liason Officer, Lagos, Chief Felix Azu has felicitated with Muslim faithfuls in the State,and prayed for peace, unity and Safety of Nigerians all through the period and after.

In his reaction, the National Chairman of New Nigeria Peoples Party ( NNPP ), Dr Boniface Aniebonam appealed to Muslin brothers and sisters in the Country, to devote time to pray for unity of this country as they celebrate their Edi- El- Kabir 2019, saying that a loss to death by any tribe as a result of insecurity is a big minus to Nigeria.
Dr Aniebonam reminded them that the third world countries stretch lights is on Nigeria, pointing out that the calamities of insecurity in Nigeria today is no longer news to the third world countries.
He stressed that the adverse effect was gradually holding Nigeria to a stand still position as nothing moves again, as insecurity and insurgency had left many homes hypertensive, hence the President paid deviant attention to the challenges.
