NAGAFF Celebrates 20 years Anniversary, Dec. 3rd

As part of the arrangements to mark the 20th year anniversary of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Fowarders ( NAGAFF ),  the 2019 planning Committee has rolled out activities to commomorate the event
The Chairman of the Committee, FL Fwdr (Chief) Tochukwu Ezisi who disclosed this while addressing the Press said on Friday, there will be Jumuat prayer at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport,  Central Mosque by 1.30pm followed by Environmental clean-up exercise  at Murtala Mohammed International Airport and Apapa Port by Eight O’clock in the morning, while NAGAFF members are to appear on their NAGAFF T/Shirts.
According to the Chairman,  still on the same Saturday, 30th November 2019, Matriculation of about 20 new students of NAGAFF Academy will take place by 10.am. whereas on Sunday 1st November will be a thanksgiving service at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Chuch, Aguda, Surulere by 11.30am.
On Monday, he said  the Committee members will pay a courtesy visit to General Hospital,  Apapa,  to settle hospital bills of some patients  having difficulty in settling their hospital bills by 10am while by 1pm same day, there will be a Freight Fowarders forum at the Freight Fowarders village and later same day, by 10pm, Annual General Meeting of NAGAFF takes off at Santiago Hotel, Amuwo Odofin.
 Grand finale will be on Tuesday,  3rd December 2019 at Golden Tulip Hotel, Amuwo Odofin.
Fwdr (Chief) Ezisi  remarked that the ceremony which will showcase  NAGAFF’S sense of propriety and hospitality promises to be a parade of pleasant serious academic exercise and fun.
He disclosed that a renown scholar, Prof. Iyoha Oni. Who is currently the Chairman Institute of Maritime Studies,  University of Lagos  will give the anniversary lecture with the theme “The Single Window Evolution under the African Continental Free Trade Agreement Regime.
According to him, the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu is expected to be as Special Guest of Honour, while the Hon. Minister of Transportation, Mr Chibuike Amaechi will deliver a keynote address, where as the Executive Secretary  and CEO of the Nigerian  Shippers Council,  Barrister Hasan Bello will be the Chairman of the occassion.
The Chairman of the Governing Board of the Council  for the Regulation of Freight forwarding in Nigeria ( CRFFN ), Alhaji Abubakar Tsanni is being expected as the Guest of honour  while the CG of Customs,  Col. Hameed Ali ( Rtd ) will present a paper on the impact of Customs  Further Modernisation  As  a Veritable Tool for Trade Facilitation,  where’s Barr. Okwudili  Alagbon will be the Guest Speaker  on The Establishment OF CRFFN  Act 16, 2007 and it’s Subsequent  Amendments -Matters Arising.
He revealed that the ceremony will afford NAGAFF the opportunity to appreciate  individuals who had contributed to the growth  of the Industry through award of Excellence to some deserving operators.
