Arik Air Resumes Operations

Following the easing of the curfew imposed by the Lagos state government over the ‘EndSARS’ protest by Nigerian youths,

Arik Air has announced it’s resumption of flight operations in and out of Murtala Muhammed Airport Ikeja, Lagos from Saturday, October 24, 2020.

 

The Airline said flights across the Country will operate as scheduled and passengers are advised to arrive at the airport early to have ample time to complete boarding formalities.

 

Arik Air on Friday resumed limited flights to some destinations where there were no curfews on Friday, October 23, 2020.

Specifically, the Airline said it will be operating flights from its second hub in Abuja to Port Harcourt, Ilorin, Benin, Kano and Yola.

It stated that it will operate one flight each from Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja to Port Harcourt, Ilorin and Kano and also, on Saturday, the airline will operate one flight each from Abuja to Port Harcourt, Benin and Yola.

”Customers who could not use their tickets during the period of the curfew can modify such tickets at no extra cost,”  it said while the management of the Airline thanked customers for their understanding while the cancellation of flights lasted.

The Airline had on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 suspended all flights due to the 24 hours curfew announced by the Lagos State Government when the ‘EndSARAS’ protest became violent.
