As the year draws to a close, the Founder of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, has been named the ‘Doyen of the Maritime Industry’ by TimenewsReporter.com.
Timenews Reporter, an online media platform, in commemoration of its two years anniversary honoured noble personalities whose works and contributions in the Maritime Industry stood out.
However, the Organisation adjudged Dr. Aniebonam exceptional in his activities to develop and grow the Sector, therefore he was crowned the ‘Doyen of Maritime.’
In a short award ceremony the Editor of Timenews, Mrs. Pearl Ngwama, said: “For your outstanding and exceptional services, for your continuous unwavering passion to ensure that the government and freight forwarders do the right thing, we honour you today.
“You have remained a strong voice ensuring that things are always done according to the Rule of Trade and Ease of Doing business.
“For founding NAGAFF and instilling professionalism in freight forwarding; introducing education and enlightenment in freight forwarding business in Nigeria that has made it an enviable career, we have come to recognise and appreciate you.
“Today, this award comes to you because you deserve and merit it even long before now.
“For all these and even much more, in fact the list of your contributions is unending, we bring this award to you. You are indeed the DOYEN of Maritime!”
Presenting the award, Publisher of Timenews, Mrs. Ruth Sunday, added that Dr. Aniebonam has worked beyond the Industry to become a national figure having founded the National People’s Party (NPP), one of the accredited political parties in the Country with presence in the House of Senate.
In his response Dr. Aniebonam said “it is quite great and better to celebrate somebody when he is alive than dead.
“I will continue to do the good work; everything is in the hands of God. I try to do things that make other people happy and once they’re happy I’m happy.”
