Bi-Courtney Aviation Services (BASL), operators of Murtala Muhammed Airport 2 (MMA2) has taken delivery of another set of X-ray machines and air conditioner equipment in line with its on-going terminal upgrade project.
The BASL Acting Head of Business, Mr. Raphael Uchegbu, who disclosed the new development when Aviation journalists paid a courtesy visit to the operator, noted that BASL has been upgrading and improving all its facilities since inception, adding that the equipment were acquired to ensure safety, security and comfort of passengers.
According to Uchegbu, when BASL started operations, it had all its facilities intact as at 2015 which later needed to be changed.
Hence, he said that the management had to change a lot of things including escalators and other equipment.
In his remark, Group Corporate Affairs Manager, BASL, Mr. Mikail Mumuni, said that the Company has been making so much improvement in their facility upgrades but lamented that it is not really projected for the good things that it has been doing.
Mumuni observed that Nigeria has a very huge infrastructure deficit, stressing that “government is incapable of bridging the gap. The onus is on those that are materially endowed to do it.”
Appreciating the visit, Mumuni advised the Aviation press to keep the airport beat virile, just as he solicited for continued media support.
