CREFFPON Poised To Visit Freight Forwarding, Logistics Associations

The Congregation of Registered Freight Forwarding Practitioners Of Nigeria (CREFFPON) has announced its plan to embark on a familiarisation visit to all freight forwarding and logistics associations in line with its regulatory function of enthronement of professionalism in the freight forwarding sub Sector.

CREFFPON in a statement disclosed that it had already outlined an itinerary of visitation and mobilisation to freight forwarding associations and critical stakeholders (groups and selected individuals).

According to the statement, the visit is in pursuance to its mandate of voluntary movement aimed at salvaging its noble Profession; to strengthen the administration of its regulatory duty towards attaining optimal regulations and leaving no stone unturned towards the enthronement of professionalism in the Freight Forwarding Sector.

The two weeks familiarisation cum mobilisation programme is aimed at bringing to the fore, professional issues mitigating against the well being of the professionals and those that have choked and threatened the Profession itself, as well as to solicit the corporation of all and sundry in this regards.

“The essence of this visitation is in recognition of the vital roles each of the associations has played in the Industry, hence its spreads and networking is apt towards achieving priorities.

“Second, is a mark of respect especially in the reality of the fact that a tree does not make a forest more so in a huge Industry like the Maritime Sector of the economy.

“Thirdly, is in the propagation of ‘an injury for one is an injury for all,’ Implying, what affects me affects you,” the statement explained.

Associations shortlisted to visit include, MARITIME INTEGRITY; EDO MARITIME; OWERRI FREIGHT FORWARDERS; P. M. A. L; ODUA MARITIME; IFFA; MARITIME STAKEHOLDERS; MARITIME ADVOCACY; IGBO MARITIME; MARITIME PILLARS; OKIGWE MARITIME and ABIA FREIGHT FORWARDERS.

The rest are APPFLON; NAGAFF; ANLCA; AREFFN; NCMDLCA and NAFAC

“At the end of our visitation, we shall have a course to keep the practitioners abreast with an agreed programme of actions,” the statement added.
