The newly elected President of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Chief Tochukwu Ezisi, has promised to run an all-inclusive government engaging every member of the association in an impartial manner.
Ezisi was saying this at his recent birthday celebration held at the NAGAFF village in Apapa, in response to his pronouncement as the elected president of the freight forwarders association by the Founder of NAGAFF, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam.
While eulogising Aniebonam for his compassionate leadership and fatherly qualities he promised he was ready to take up the responsibility of becoming the President of the association to the best of his ability.
According to Ezisi these qualities endeared him to the person of Aniebonam whom he said is his mentor and role model.
Continuing, he promised that NAGAFF in the next years would be settled in its secretariat stating that it was a new dawn for the association.
He wished everyone to work with him with special appeal to the Coordinator of the Compliance Team, Alh. Ibrahim Tanko. “Tanko please don’t leave me alone. I’ll work with you,” he appealed.
He said: “I have been in the industry for long and I thought I was doing well until I joined NAGAFF and found out that I was missing.
“Thank God for the Dr. Aniebonam; my mentor and role model because he’s happy making people happy and this has been my life.
“I live my life for people, putting smiles on people, I do a lot of charity work and charity has become my watchword.
“Doctor I promise you that I will carry this masquerade which some others are looking for someone to carry.
“I’ll run an all-inclusive government; I’m for everybody I’m for nobody. In the next two years NAGAFF would be in its own secretariat.
“It’s a new dawn for NAGAFF!”
Earlier in his speech, Aniebonam while announcing Ezisi as the new president effective October 2021, indicted the outgoing leadership of committing sacrilege against NAGAFF. “It is a sacrilege for you to go outside to do things against an association you led for six years,” he remarked.
“Whatever Increase Uche and others have done against NAGAFF has turned to a blessing that was in disguise,” he added.
He narrated some of his grievances against some members of NAGAFF but said all were by gone.
The Founder also appreciated officers that showed commitment to NAGAFF like Dr. Segun Musa, saying “I know Tochukwu will do the same.
He announced that the outgoing NECOM of NAGAFF stands dissolved on October 30, 2021 while the new exco to be led by Ezisi will resume office on the 31st of October.
According to Aniebonam the rest officers to serve in the incoming exco with Ezisi would be appointed by the NAGAFF council subsequently.
