6th National President Of NAGAFF Sworn-in…..Pledge to Collaborate with Govt Agencies for better synergy

The 6th National President of National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Chief Tochukwu Ezisi has been sworn -in alongside other appointed members of the National Executive Committee.

Speaking at the occasion, the Founder of NAGAFF, Dr Boniface Aniebonam who expressed joy over the personality of Chief Ezisi as the new President of NAGAFF, said he has what it takes to lead the association in terms of knowledge, Contacts and wealth.

Dr. Aniebonam urged him  to remain focused, make firm decisions, avoid distractions of any sort, and work in tandem with the ANLCA President and leaders of other CRFFN registered Associations  to tackle the issues bedwidling  the freight forwarding business operations in the maritime industry

“The progress of freight forwarding has just started with the new executives, and it is a good thing to see the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agent (ANLCA) and NAGAFF sitting side by side, coming together to decide on the way forward.

“This inauguration signifies that all the agents of destruction for the past 20 years that wants to see the downfall of the associations have failed and so the need,” Founder said.

On his part, the Board Chairman of NAGAFF, Chief Chidiebere Enelamah adived the new President to eschew old issues , thoughts  but ineffective pattern  of administration in the Association but rather engage in the rules of engagement, constructive  engagement of all Government Agencies and ensuring the welfare of the members.

In his inaugural speech, the National President of NAGAFF, Chief Tochukwu Ezisi said his administration will not only collaborate with heads of government agencies at the ports for better synergybut will also institute a Comprehensive health Insurance scheme and establish a medical health fund to assist deserving members subscribe to the scheme.

”Considering our numerical strength, I will negotiate a favorable deal with a health insurance policy provider for a good product that will be of benefit to members.

“We shall also institute a comprehensive health insurance scheme and establish a medical health fund to help deserving members subscribe to the scheme,” he said

Chief Ezisi  who promised to run an all inclusive administration crave the support of all NAGAFF members to the realisation of his set goals while urging those who may have been aggrieved with his appointment to shelve their swords, come back and work with him for the progress of the association.

In her goodwill message, the  Customs Zonal Coordinator,  Zone  ,  ACG A.M Aremu represented by DC FN  Num said, “NAGAFF is one of the most critical and respected stakeholders and associations in the maritime Sector.
“This position has been earned and sustained overtime by the impact and contributions made by her members in the national economic growth. Today as you inaugurate a new national President and indeed the new national executive committee, I can only plead that you keep the association flag higher by raising the bar and ensuring the members standout in integrity and total compliance to all extant law guiding their operations as freight forwarders.
“I urge all members to give the new EXCO all the needed support and cooperation as the Nigeria Customs Service, we cannot do without each other hence improvement on behalf of the service, increased level of synergy, cooperation and indeed prompt Facilitation of trade. We should keep the National President and indeed the members of the association in our hearts and prayers,” he opined.
In his goodwill message also, the National President of Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA),  Prince Tony Iju Nwabunike enjoined him to keep to his promises, assuring them to put their force together with other CRFFN registered associations to reclaim their mandate from the government.
 ”I am here with mixed feelings, because of what you will face as you take the mantle of leadership but I assure you that I will work with you to ensure we reclaim our mantle of mandate from the government,” he said.

Also, the Board Chairman National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents (NCMDLCA), Dr. Rafui Ladipo  who congratulated Chief Ezisi on his emergence as the the 6th President of NAGAFF assured of their support to his administration while urging him to keep to his words.
In her goodwill message, the  Deputy Commander General of Narcotics, Director Seaports Operations, Mrs Omolade Faboyede(fsi), Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA),  represented by Chief Charles Onojedje, Superintendent  of Narcotics Pso Operations expressed hope that all the Presidents set goals and agenda for NAGAFF will not be less strenuous for him and his executive to achieve.
Speaking with Time News Reporters shortly after the swearing exercise, the new Deputy National President  Seaports, Chief Afam Chukwuma expressed his gratitude to the Founder of NAGAFF, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam for giving him the opportunity to serve the association and pledged to contribute his wealth of knowledge to the growth of the association.
