Dr. Aniebonam who stated this during a critical stakeholders meeting of National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) members
at the association’s headquarters in Lagos noted that the political movement of NNPP is sweeping across the country as many chieftains of the APC and PDP are crossing over to NNPP.
He further explained that this recent development has caused the former governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu to raise an alarm over the mass exodus of APC members to NNPP.
Dr. Aniebonam who is also the Founder of NAGAFF urged the members to play their role of mobilisation and sensitisation inorder to reap the benefits as freight forwarders when the party emerges as winner in 2023 presidential election.
According to him, “We know that, it has not been so easy for us to do business in the Nigerian ports and border locations and therefore we have an interest to protect.
“So we are not really going to fold our hands and watch, No! If we fold our hands, if anything happens to the positive, we may not have the ground to ask for any favour in line with our professional callings. This is the time”, he said.

Earlier in his opening remarks, the convener of the meeting who is the board chairman of NAGAFF, Chief Chidiebere Enelamah said the essence of the meeting was to intimate NAGAFF members of their sister political Party which they have vested interest in.
He expressed optimism that if the party(NNPP) wins the 2023 race, “all the problems, issues confronting freight forwarders in the maritime industry will become a thing of the past.
“So we believe that it is the NNPP that has the key to ameliorating the problems the freight forwarders are facing in the Industry today and being a sister Association of NAGAFF, we felt we should call our people and advise them accordingly”,he concluded.
