NAGAFF Celebrates 23rd Anniversary in Grand Style.

Preparations are on top gear for the celebration of 23rd Anniversary of
National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) on the 22nd  December, 2022 at Rockview Hotels Apapa, Lagos.

A statement by the Chairman  planning c, Chief Afam Chukwuma said
the ceremony which will attract the presence of who is who in the Industry will start by 2pm and feature a lecture on “Good Governance,  A Road map to National Development” by Professor Iyiola Oni, Director for Multimodal Transport Studies, University of Lagos, Akoka Lagos Nigeria.
According to him, “The 2nd phase which will commence by 8pm will be an all night party. This second phase was specifically created to afford freight forwarders ample time to relax and unwind, knowing the stress associated with the job.”
It would be recalled that the Founder of National NAGAFF,  Dr. Boniface Aniebonam recently constituted a 15-man Sponsorship Committee under the leadership of the Deputy National President Seaports, Chief Afam Chukwuma to  organise a befitting 23rd Anniversary ceremony  and end of the year party for its members.
He said the ceremony would be in appreciation  to the Almighty God for his sustenance, love, protection,blessings of the members and his faithfulness  all through the year, 2022
Dr. Aniebonam noted that God has kept NAGAFF together and helped her to record milestone achievements in the Industry through its Public Advocacy interventions and programs.
He called on the well-to-do members of the association to use their wealth for the development of the NAGAFF as well as the needy amongst them.

Earlier in his address at the Pre- anniversary get together at the association’s headquarters in Apapa, the National President of body, Fwdr. Tochukwu Ezisi who  remarked that NAGAFF was a child of necessity,  birthed to usher in a more sustainable freight forwarding profession in Nigeria, to right the vocational misplacements inherent in the freight forwarding career prior to its emergence in  29th November, 1999
“it suffices to say that with concerted efforts and consistency towards a proactive public Policy Advocacy drives hinged on constructive engagement, information dissemination, dialogue, negotiations, persuasions, responsible partnerships and advisory obligations.”
“NAGAFF has made a milestone in roles and achievements beyond the freight forwarding subsector of the maritime industry. Such landmark achievements were adequately reported by the media.”
“NAGAFF has every reason to celebrate this 23rd Anniversary,  in spite of the ailing economic recession in the land, and urged freight forwarders to be compliant to the trade laws in the interest of the nation and profession,” he concluded.
Fwdr Ezisi further said the association would re-dust its strategic partnership and canvass for a common freight via memorandum of understanding towards achieving professional essence and uniformity of purpose in addition to broaden its quest for compliance in cargo handling operation come 2023.
